Section 1: Banned Items
Section 1.1: Files & Content
  1. Client will not store any illegal or pirated material ("warez") on the disk space allotted to them within their hosting plan.
    1. Types of disallowed files:
      • Multimedia (audio, video, movie, or film) you do not own or have written, legal permission from the owners to use.
      • Software (applications, games, and operating systems [excluding freeware items such as various Linux distributions]) you do not own or have written. If you are mirroring a file with another server, we will need written proof that this is acceptable by the original author.
    2. Types of disallowed content:
      • Child Pornography (no ifs, ands, or buts!)
      • Selling of drugs, narcotics or paraphernalia
      • Content promoting acts of terrorism or crimes against the United State or any other country
      • Content that includes threats of a physical, violet or illegal nature (death threats, rape threats, etcetera.)
      • Content promoting felonies (robbery, murder, theft, etcetera.)
      • Content involving fraud or computer/phone mischief (hacking, phreaking, AOL scamming, etcetera.)
      • Content promoting credit card theft, identity theft, or any fraud in general
  1. Services and Usage
    1. Client may not run any type of IRC bot, eggdrop, or service
    2. Disallowed actions:
      • Port scanning
      • Scamming (tricking others into revealing passwords or other sensitive information without their consent)
      • Introducing viruses, Trojans, backdoors, worms, bots, bombs, or any other computer program/routine that can prove detrimental to this or another computer system
      • Attempts to gain unauthorized access to the files stored on this machine or any other machine
      • Attempts to gain unauthorized administrator access to this machine or any other machine

Section 2: Legalities
Section 2.1: Violations
  1. A violation of this AUP may be reported by ANYONE, ANYWHERE, at ANY TIME. This includes any user of the Internet, anyone who accesses your files on this server, another user on this server, or the administrators themselves. Once the administrators (at the time of this writing: John Settino and Steve Wileman) have agreed this is a valid and worthy violation of our AUP, the following actions will be taken:
    1. User in violation of AUP will be contacted and informed of their violation(s) and their impending account deletion.
    2. In regards to §2.1 I: The administrators will not always notify the client. If she/he is unavailable and/or cannot be contacted, the administrators will delete his/her hosting account, including all files contained on our server, and take control of any/all domain names HLRSE.NET or BLUETOAST.ORG has registered for affected client.
